“Spread the Jam” is a jam session meant to welcome every musician with open arms- no matter what. The mission is to create a more equitable and free, non-hierarchical and non-judgemental space for everyone. By creating a space that focuses on honest and authentic communication, community building, and liberation, we can transform the current scene into a more productive, positive and engaging community. The event will have a community discussion, as well as an opportunity to workshop any original pieces!

now that I’m back in Baltimore and I’ve had some time to unpack (both figuratively and literally) I am so grateful for the experiences I had this summer. being a part of the SOL collective was really transformative in ways I didn’t think it could be. I got to work with such wonderful musicians this summer, and I made some great friends along the way. there’s so much more I could say, but I am so thankful to everyone in the collective for listening to what I had to say, learning with me, playing with me, and showing me around Boston. You are all such talented, important people and I can’t wait to see what you accomplish. and a huge shoutout to @miagnew.trumpet - thanks for everything you did for me, and I can wait to see you kill it in NYC!!!

and to wrap up my two week and 2450 mile long solo road trip, Boston! I had an amazing time getting to see all my friends, seeing the bruins (even tho we lost rip) visiting friends at Berklee, and getting explore the city and visit some family! proud of myself for doing this all by myself and im excited to see what adventures are ahead of me 🤠

A year ago today, I was in D.C celebrating pride month. Things are much different today then how they were last year. This is your reminder that without trans black women and women of color, there would be no pride. Without a riot, there would be no pride. Marsha P. Johnson, a black trans woman and Sylvia Rivera, a hispanic trans woman fought for their rights. There would be no celebration.
